Hammered Heroes bring home title

Congratulations to the Hammered Heroes for wining the 2008 Intramural Softball Championship. Members of 4C include Derek Gomes (OF), Jon Martin (2B), Brian Lewin (C-DH), Marley Ficalora (SS-OF), Nick Augustine (OF), and Brendan Cunha (OF). After defeating the Leftovers by a huge margin in the preliminary round, the HH defeated won their quarterfinal match 14-6 and their semi-final match 15-13. They knocked off the varsity hockey team 11-4 in the final. The Hammered Heroes received contributions from Neal Gallagher on the hill (complete game in both semi-final and championship game), Brian Lewin (2HR, 7 RBI in quarterfinal as well as runs in both the semi-final and championship), and Nick Augustine (HR in semi-final, HR in final and tons of RBIs). The team , which was captained by Ficalora seeks to repeat for the 2009 season.
